History of Romare Bearden Park Charlotte

Romare Bearden Park is a 5.4-acre public park in Charlotte, North Carolina, situated at 300 S. Church Street. It debuted in late August 2013 and is named after Charlotte-born artist Romare Bearden. It’s directly across the street from Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights of the International League.
The park, which is located in Uptown Charlotte, offers exercise and cultural arts programmes all year. Bearden’s collages and drawings were adapted by supervising artist Norie Sato to create the park design. Two gardens, a courtyard with eating tables and chairs on a crushed granite bed, a formal event green field, a play area with interactive digital chimes, including dance chimes, and multiple waterfalls are among the attractions.
On August 31st and September 1st, 2013, the grand opening took place.

Romare Bearden Park Charlotte Reviews

I’ve always enjoyed visiting to the park’s music series, particularly at this spot. It was usually a fantastic blend of ages. Different couples could be seen dancing in the front row. I enjoy watching people dance together. I wish there was a playground for the children, however there is a water fountain where they can play. There is a large area where you can enjoy a picnic. You could always go to the park and order a pizza from Mellow Mushroom and a cup of coffee from Starbucks. There are various restaurants across the street or a block away where you can obtain food. Furthermore, this site is an excellent spot for watching fireworks. Just make sure to arrive early to secure a parking spot and a seat. I’ll publish some photos as soon as I can. –
This park is one of my favourites. It’s open, and if you want to exercise or jog, you can get lots of walking done. There are nice benches for you to sit on. It has a brook running across it, and if you want to go have some ice cream? Basking Robbins is only a short distance away. This park is kept immaculate at all times. This is where I always come. It’s a five-star rating from me.
Anthony Hamilton performed at a free Welcome Back Concert. It’s a great vibe, and I’m pleased he’s back. There would have been a nicer experience if there had been more vendors and hydration stations. I had a good time at this family-friendly event.
